The 30 Bags in 30 Days Challenge

30-Day Challenge by Darlene Schacht

If there’s one thing I can’t stress enough, it’s this: declutter! Declutter! Declutter! You can’t begin to organize your home if it’s too cluttered. You’ll never have room for everything if the closets and drawers aren’t maintained. And cleaning is twice the work in a house jam packed with junk.

If you compare how many times you bring bags into your house with how many times you’re sending bags out, more than likely, you’ll start to notice that there’s an imbalance there. An imbalance that’s disrupting the harmony in your home.

If we ever hope to have a place for everything, we need to free up some space by tackling those areas we’re cramming junk into, ie. our closets and drawers.

And so, with that in mind I’ve decided to challenge you to the “30 Bags in 30 Days Ultimate Declutter Challenge.” If you’d like to join me, you can either click the link below for a printable schedule, or come back here each day to see what area of your home to declutter next. If you’ve already done the challenge, maybe it’s time to do it again!

Each day you’ll focus on one small area. All you have to do is fill up one bag, and depending on the area you are cleaning, some days you’ll use a small bag and other days you’ll need a large one. I’d also recommend keeping a donation (or “stuff to sell”) box somewhere in the house during the challenge so that you can pass some items on to a good home.

You can start any day that you like, but I know that I’ll be starting this in the morning!

About the Author:

Darlene and her husband Michael live in Manitoba Canada where the summers are beautiful and the winters are cold. Together they’ve raised four children and have welcomed two grand children into their family.

She began her publishing journey about fourteen years ago when she pioneered one of the first online magazines for Christian women, known at the time as “Christian Women Online Magazine.” After three years, Darlene left CWO to blog as a solo author at Time-Warp Wife Ministries.

Being the youngest of six girls in a house without boys gave Darlene the opportunity to watch, to listen, and to learn what it takes to manage an organized house.

My P31 Home is a warm blend of Darlene’s writing and love for a comfy, pretty, and organized home. It’s a small corner of the world where faith, family, and home come together in one beautiful place.
