Firm Jello recipe by Janelle Paris
A few years ago I was asked to make Finger Jello for my son’s school. I had never actually made Finger Jello, so I read the back of the Jello package and made it per instructions.
When the Jello was “set” I realized that it was subpar compared to the Finger Jello that my kids loved so much! Hmmm… what did I do wrong?! My “Jigglers” were really soft and were not staying together! Agh! What was I missing?! How hard could Jello be?! (haha) And, what did I have to do to make my Jello firmer?
Then I discovered the trick to making this wonderful, silly food–firm Jello, that’s sure to put a smile on your children’s faces! My children LOVE when I make Finger Jello. I am officially a very cool mom just because I bring Finger Jello to play dates. That is all it takes girls… And so, if you would like to know how to make your Jello firm, follow my recipe below, and I’ll tell you the secret.
Finger Jell-O (Firm Jello Recipe)
- 3 small boxes of Jell-O
- 4 envelopes of Knox gelatin (the secret ingredient to firm Jello!)
- 4 cups boiling water
- Whisk all together in a 13×9 pan (no cleanup) and refrigerate Jello until firm.
- Before cutting, dip the bottom of your pan in warm water.
