Why P31 Home?
The idea for this website, believe it or not, came from my husband Michael. He woke me up early one Friday morning, and with a paper and pen in hand, he said, “We need to talk about something…”
From the minute he opened his mouth, I loved the idea. A place where I can share my love for home and family. A place where women are encouraged to love on their own.
The Proverbs 31 Woman isn’t so much a lesson on getting up early, sewing clothes, buying a field, or achieving perfection. The heart of the matter is that she was dedicated to walking in virtue. She cared deeply for her husband and children. She put the needs of her family before her desires. She was a woman of noble character who walked by faith. My guess is, she wasn’t perfect–none of us are. But she was ready and willing to be perfected by God.
And so my friends, I encourage you to be a part of the process as you join us in making your house a home.
You are loved by an almighty God,
The Time-Warp Wife
Darlene Schacht and her husband Michael live in Manitoba Canada where the summers are beautiful and the winters are cold. Together they’ve raised four children and have welcomed two grand children into their family.
She began her publishing journey about fourteen years ago when she pioneered one of the first online magazines for Christian women, known at the time as “Christian Women Online Magazine.” After three years, Darlene left CWO to blog as a solo author at Time-Warp Wife Ministries.
Being the youngest of six girls in a house without boys gave Darlene the opportunity to watch, to listen, and to learn what it takes to manage an organized house.
My P31 Home is a warm blend of Darlene’s writing and love for a comfy, pretty, and organized home. It’s a small corner of the world where faith, family, and home come together in one beautiful place.

With five kids on a single income, she does her best to cut costs by baking, cooking, and creating most things by hand.
How much does she love baking? Well, let’s put it this way, she buys her flour and sugar in bulk and yet she’s still running out all the time!
